Us Against Them

Thought I'd better get at least one Christmasy thing in before it's over! She loves bath time!! I like it too. She's so fun. Baylee's first and probably last encounter with Santa. We could only get three pictures, but I think they tell all! Usually in the mornings I give Bays her bottle and lay on the couch. Well this morning I was particularly tired and think I actually fell in and out of sleep quite a bit. I jolted awake to a little rustling and wondered where Baylee was. She was behind the other couch where I couldn't quite see her. I had already picked everything up off the floor that was potentially hazardous or problematic. Well I missed her diaper bag. I had forgotten that I left her crackers in there from the day before. She loves crackers! She got into all of them and ate, who knows how many! Sitting all over them she had taken bites out of most of them. Silly girl. Christmas Eve at grandma's with cousins. I tried to get a picture of Bayle...

"Hi Grandpa!" She's just so tiny, but climbing on everything! Just a little proof that she really is a happy baby. And yet so mature.

As I sit on my couch and lazily play peek-a-boo with Baylee, I thought I should take a little time to tell the things I love about her. I wish my family could see her growing all up a little more. As long as I'm making a wish list, I'll also add wishing Baylee liked family a little more! I noticed just recently that when Baylee crawls fast and is happy, that she goes normal on her left leg but her right one comes way up off the floor and out a little. Almost like she's a dog whose found a beautifully red fire hydrant. She's pulling so many funny faces now! She's just like Summer. She snorkels! I don't know where she got it from. Summer must have taught her. When she's happy she has her mouth closed, bottom lip pulled under a bit, and she kind of hums. She also will put her head back a bit and close her eyes and scrunch her face. She enjoys hitting things. Including herself. She's learning how to clap now, I think we made some progres...
