Baylee the Mom

During the wind down of dinner tonight Dustin was feeding Baylee, trying to get her to finish her food. Baylee is trying every aspect to prolong it or get out of it. She tried to wipe Dustin's face off. I don't know if they were playing a game or what. Baylee has a lot of silly games. Well he grabbed the end of her shirt and tried reaching it to Dustin's face for a good wiping. Then in one swift move her thumb went into her (completely full) mouth and started going for Dustin's chin. He reacted quick enough to stop her green bean infested thumb. Her face was very serious, she meant business until we started laughing.
It's too funny to not post it.  This is Baylee feeding her baby.  She's very detail oriented...  Mom of two:  Fail! She even grabbed my boppy today and laid her baby in it while she lifted her shirt to feed her baby.  She stopped when she noticed I was paying attention.

He's A Good Guy

Baylee often talks about Jesus and Santa lately. She would say things like, "Jesus is coming." I try to explain to her that yes, Jesus is coming but nobody knows when, but He is probably not coming right now. Today we were playing ball and she said, "Jesus not coming right now. He's a good guy though. He help me feel better. He's a good guy." Then she ran to the window and looked through the blinds for Jesus. (I finished posting this in bed. Quickly got the last paragraph done and in the minute and a half it took me to do that, Dustin fell asleep. With the light on. How does he do it? I'm so jealous!!!!)

Baby Shark

Image
We taught Baylee the girls' camp song baby shark and she loved it. Now she likes to sing it on occasion but she sings it Baylee shark. Then after mommy, daddy and grandma shark she wants to do Tate shark, teddy, other teddy and couch. Now some unrelated pictures.

You're Stinkin' Awesome

Dustin tells Baylee to say an assortment of things and one of those is, "You're stinkin' awesome!" Baylee will usually repeat whatever Dustin tells her to but it may come out with her own spin. This one interprets into, "You stink, you're awesome!"

Pumpkins

Image
We painted pumpkins for fhe tonight. It was fun. Baylee didn't last long and Tate woke up early but Dustin and I carried on, welcoming the artistic break from life. It was nice to just make a mess and focus on something other than mess haha. We let Baylee paint Tate's pumpkin.

Spit up

We are up at my in-laws this weekend for conference so we've been letting Baylee stay up later to play with cousins. Last night I had just finished getting her and Tate all changed and ready for bed. I was standing up holding Tate and holding the burp cloth right under his mouth with both my hands to catch all his spit up. Baylee looked like she was handing me something she found and didn't want on her fingers. As I bring my hand down and around to grab it I slung spit up right across her face! I didn't realize the little pool I had collected and drizzled down to my fingers. Baylee stood there looking stunned and scared. (she's a bit of a clean freak in a sense and is terrified of Tate spitting up.) She started wiping it off her face and said, "What happened to me?"

Animals

One of Baylee's favorite games to play is animals, where we tell her an animal and she tells us what sound it makes. My favorite one she does is frog. She can be laying down and teddy bear telling us all the sounds but when I ask what a frog says. Her whole face lights up as she climbs to her feet to start jumping like a frog while she says, "Rivvit. Rivvit." There are still a couple of V's in place of B's. Like rivvit, grav it and watch Gavva. (Yo Gabba Gabba)

Birdie's Dying

When Baylee was a baby someone gave us this cute little toy for her to lay in. It has a bird right in the middle that makes music as soon as it's tugged on. Well it ran out of batteries by the time Baylee was done with it but I wanted to use it for Tate too (even if it is a little girly). The makers of this bird did not want it to be possible to change the batteries! It is ridiculously difficult and not worth it to change the batteries. I know that now, I did not before I started trying. I ripped it open and got it done. Anyway, the batteries are already dying again since I put Tate in it everyday. Baylee likes to pull the birdie for him, he can't quite on his own yet. Well she was freaking out because the music was stopping early due to low battery power. I tried to explain to her that the batteries are dying and we'll need to replace them, it would be fine. Next thing I happen to see is Baylee gently holding the bird and say, "Birdie's dying."...
