Praying Baysie Boo

Baylee has learned recently how to fold her arms. Well she attempts at least. Right before bed just now, we were practicing walking and she kind of lost interest but insist that we pray. A lot. It was very cute. We probably said about 22 prayers in those five minutes. She sits so well with her arms "folded", then when ending the prayer she starts to get excited. As soon as she hears Jesus Christ she beams and unfolds her arms in preparation for the grand finale of the amen. It was also fun because she was so insistent that when we would give her a little push to walk, she would have her arms folded instead of swaying above her head in her normal chimp style of walking. I'm so grateful that she's learning so much. It's been so fun to watch her start developing into the little character she is.

Get ready for a whole bunch of random! I didn't get the shot in time. The two dark ones are Baylee facing the tv watching while kinda laying/cuddling the arm of the couch. Then she noticed me. Going for a walk. She loves to sit on the table and bug me while I try to work on the computer. She likes to turn the monitor on and off. She also really loves my water bottle. I gave Baylee a home oil treatment to try to help her dry scalp. It worked quite well I think but it was oily for a little while after. Even after I washed it out, drained the tub, refilled it, washed again, it was still oily for Valentine's day. Which is why in the pictures to come she has her hood on the whole time:). Sorry if this is a little too graphic, but it's one of Baylee's favorite thing to do! In fact it might just BE her favorite thing to do. Pull everything out of something put away and throw it into a mess on the floor. One of her famous spots is, my underwear drawer. Lovely. Playin...

Baylee's Walking...sorta

Baylee took her first steps on Valentine's night. It wasn't really expected by any means. I'm glad she did, but still a little shocked. She never really stood on her own unless there was great distraction near by. She could do it, she just never seemed to want to. She did really good too the next day or two after. I would practice with her a little bit and she would have fun. She even ventured off on her own a few times. Then she would usually get hurt because of it and I think regress a little. After those two days were over she stopped entirely for another two days. She refused to walk! When we tried to stand her up and coerce her to walk to us, she would get mad and stop everything to sulk a little. But, she's doing much better now! I think she enjoys it. And I think I have a little while until she's actually walking, it's just a few steps for right now:). This is right after her first steps. Dustin ran for the camera:) After a little while I t...

Baylee's Birthday Bash

Image
Dad, Kath, and Cam were able to come up for Baylee's birthday on Saturday. It was fun! We went out to Chile's for din din. Then when we got home, I realized that her birthday was almost over and I had yet to take any pictures! I know I know, I'm awful. So everything's within about a 5-10 minute span of pictures, but at least I got some:). (and I believe that's chocolate that I left on her face as proof, mostly for Jenna, that she got cake and goodies on her birthday).
