Peek-A-Boo!

     So I'm sitting in the recliner with Baylee.  I often sit her to prop my feet up and take the strain off my back and belly and she will come sit with me, usually on the arm so we can play.  She tells me she wants to play a game and then starts playing peek-a-boo.  I of course start playing with her.  Shortly after we get into singing some songs etc.  She got bored of one of my songs I guess because she started interrupting it with spouts of peek-a-boo.  I try to play with her but she pushes my hands away from my face and looks very sternly at me and says no!  She then proceeds to tell me that she wants Jesus to close his eyes (she shows me how by closing and covering her own eyes) and play peek-a-boo with her.  I thought that was the cutest things ever!  And I confirmed it.  I said, "you want Jesus to play peek-a-boo with you?"  She said yeah!  : D

    Sometimes I start singing to Samantha and she'll say, "No singing!" I try not to be offended ;-P Baylee is so funny, and I'm sure the Savior would not mind playing peek-a-boo with that little face :)

    Her sentence construction skills have definitely evolved since the last time I saw her! Wow. So, if you and Dustin don't come to the river this year, we'll miss you, but maybe you can still send Bays?...I need to hear her talk!

Here is Tate, trying to get as far away from me as possible. He needs a diaper change and he knows it.  See how he's squishing it?  Gross.  He is throwing a tantrum though for whatever reason and doesn't want me to touch him, but wants his diaper changed. So it stands to reason that the best option would be to rip it off himself... And then climb into a bar stool.  Naturally.  Because that's what you do after you change your own bum.

Sweet Tater Bug

     Tate is such a sweetheart!  Here are some of the things he's said to me recently:      He's a sweetheart, yes, but also incredibly difficult.  He doesn't seem to listen.  He has a very hard time following simple orders and we get increasingly frustrated.  We clearly need to learn patience.  The kids were helping Dustin set something up when he got home from work.  He had asked the kids to stop touching certain things and after a few times of repeating himself and kids not listening, he got on Tate's case about it a little more.  Tate then came into the other room and told Baylee, "Sometimes I want to cry but I try really really hard not to and I go away from all my family."  How heartbreaking is that?!  He's my kid that, I thought, let everything roll right off of him.  He was able to easily move on and not get upset when he was in trouble or lovingly reprimanded.  I guess I need to pay more atte...
