Us Against Them

Baylee likes to play pretend and she loves to play with phones. Tonight she was using her little toy phone, pictured below, to make some calls. Then she informs me that she received a text. I thought, fine, whatever. She's tapping away at her "screen", the back of the red. Then she looks over at me, chin tilted down and everything and says, "You can look at videos when I'm done with my text." I was floored. Have I really said this to her that much? She was very serious and kept her word, by the way. She finished tapping around then handed it to me to watch videos but quickly grabbed it back so she could push play. Oh, and she took it back every time she got a text.

I'm so grateful for the power of prayer and priesthood blessings! I know that Heavenly Father is aware of our situation. I know that He loves us and cares about us. I also believe that He works through us to bless the lives of those in need. How truly grateful I am for those people who act on their promptings and end up blessing my family. I hope that I can envelop myself in the service of my fellow beings.

This morning I put Tate in his jumper toy and went into the other room for just a minute. I heard Baylee playing with him a little bit. She would spin toys and push the button. I hear her say, "Watch, Tate." I then hear the whir of the plastic spinning. Then, "Tate, look. Oh, there ya go. You being so obedient to me."

We decided to have a family movie night. The pictures will prove that Baylee is a popcorn hog! I wish I could figure out how to put the pictures up in ordered. This app scatters them. It's probably not too hard to figure out the turn of events though.

     Apparently this is how I look when I'm working out...

     We have a volleyball player in the making.  Dustin taught her how to bump, set and spike.  She's saying, "Squat and back up!"      I thought maybe I should learn how to set before my two year old does... I failed.

During the wind down of dinner tonight Dustin was feeding Baylee, trying to get her to finish her food. Baylee is trying every aspect to prolong it or get out of it. She tried to wipe Dustin's face off. I don't know if they were playing a game or what. Baylee has a lot of silly games. Well he grabbed the end of her shirt and tried reaching it to Dustin's face for a good wiping. Then in one swift move her thumb went into her (completely full) mouth and started going for Dustin's chin. He reacted quick enough to stop her green bean infested thumb. Her face was very serious, she meant business until we started laughing.
