Tov Mehyod

Dustin is done with the semester!!!! Hooray!!!! It was another difficult semester for him, and I'm sure there are more to come. Anyway, Dustin was in a Hebrew class of all things, and he's a good student, tries really hard to learn things and incorporates certain terminology into his daily language in order to better learn them. He can be such a goof when it comes to incorporating chemistry or anatomical terms into his speech. Well as you may have learned by now, Dustin gets a real kick out of teaching Baylee to say funny things or awesome things. He taught her how to say "Tov Mehyod", which means "very good". She says it every once in a while now, especially of Dustin says it first. This morning he did something and said "Tov Mehyod." Baylee said it too. Dustin told her to say, "todah", which means "thank you". She looked at us a little bit mischievously and said, "Tov Mehyod." The gleam in her eye told...

Elf on a Shelf

Dad and Kathy gave us the elf on a shelf for Christmas. It's really cute. There is an elf that sits somewhere in your house and watches and listens to see if you've been good or bad that day. Then, at the end of the day, he goes back and reports to Santa, comes back and is in a new place by morning. Well we read her the story last night and this morning our little elf appeared next to the tv. We went out and found him first thing. Baylee seemed a little unsure about this elf business. I tried to show her that it was ok, he's not scary and we can talk to him, tell him what we want for Christmas so he can go tell Santa. So I moved in close to the elf and told him something I want for Christmas to help illustrate the point to Baylee. She was slightly humored. A little while later in the day, I was in the kitchen while Dustin and Baylee were in the living room. Dustin was studying when he hears Baylee say something softly. He wasn't really paying atten...
I'm walking around, picking the house up a little bit. I walked into the bathroom to put some things away and as I left the kitchen I hear Baylee saying something as she follows me. "oh, c'mere mom. You hafta stay in da kitchen." I certainly didn't teach her that! Also, she has a new thing that I find particularly hilarious. When Dustin or I say something she sometimes responds, "Whaa?" Sounding almost exactly like or of the minions on "Despicable Me".

Toes

His hands no longer cut it, he's moved on to his toes.
Tate's first tooth is coming in! :( 💔 My baby's growing all up. I just want him to stay right where he is! I usually say forever, but maybe for just a little bit longer! I keep trying to freeze time and everything just slips on by. Such a bittersweet moment for me. I know, I know, it's just a tooth. Then next thing I know he'll be crawling, walking, talking, serving a mission, then marrying the girl of his dreams. I'm not ready for any of that yet. I just want him to stay my baby forever!!! I'm going to be a wreck when he does start walking.

Halloween...Oops

I never put Halloween pictures up.  We had a blast!  Baylee loved trick or treating!  She's very excited for next year. She's a photobomber!

Snow

Turns out Baylee loves the snow!  Our first big storm of season, I took her out to see the snow.  She didn't want to come inside!  I went inside to make lunch and she stayed in the front yard playing all by herself!  I also had the thought to show her how yummy it can be since it was all fresh and clean, but realized it probably wasn't the best idea I've had, so I held off.  As I'm inside making lunch, I kept peeking out the window to check on her and bask in her cuteness.  Anyway, I see her tasting the snow!  I couldn't believe it.  She was just eating handful after handful.  Well, she would grab a handful, take a lick then throw the rest so she could grab some more and start over.  It was so cute!
