Today as we were driving home from church Baylee said, "Hey, I gotta get 5 so I can drive!" We had a good laugh. I told her nice try, not 'til you're 16. (if she's lucky and good, right?) Baylee and Tate love to play together! It's so sweet!

Quirks of Pregnancy

Funny story now.  Made me angry then.  When I was pregnant with Tate I learned the hard way to always use the bathroom first thing in the morning!  I did just that on most days.  Except one, that's all it took.  I think it was Sunday and I was getting ready church.  I woke up and went to brush my teeth before using the bathroom.  I was standing over my sink brushing, brushing while doing the potty dance.  I had to go, bad!  As I started to brush my tongue I started gagging.  I'm convinced it's impossible for a big pregnant lady to control her bladder while she's gagging.  I peed my pants!  I was so mad because I had very few garments that still fit me, like 3 pair, seriously.       To this day, I'm still afraid to brush before I pee.

Strengthening My Testimony

We had a really neat experience on Christmas Eve.  Some people may call it unfortunate, but I thought it was something wonderful to learn from and saw Heavenly Father's hand in our lives.      We were working really hard to see all sides of the family for Christmas.  Christmas always ends up being quite stressful and rather long and exhausting!  We worked it out this year to do our own little family Christmas Eve morning, then make our way up to Ogden, stopping at Nick and Lindsay's to see dad and Kath.  Then we would continue to Ogden, spend the night, do Christmas morning there, and stop to see mom on our way home Christmas evening.  These were the plans, but things change.       We had a wonderful Christmas morning here at home.  Things went really well, I think Baylee had a lot of fun!  We put a bunch of balloons in the living room, had the family presents under the tree a...

"Sorry, Tate"

Today I told Baylee to lay down on the floor so I could change her bum.   I went into the other room to grap the wipes and as I'm walking down the hall I hear Baylee say, "Oh, sorry, Tate."  I come back in and Baylee told me that she said sorry to Tate.  I asked what for.  She said, "I kicked him."  And then, quickly added to her defense, "But I said sorry."  A few questions later I believe it was an accident and am very proud that she apologized.  It must've been mild, as there was no crying or screaming coming from Tate. Baylee loves to hold Tate.

Dora

Baylee Rayne just counted to 7... In Spanish!! My fears of letting her watch Dora are becoming a reality! My daughter will speak beautiful, fluent Spanish while I get bigger and dumber. Dear Dora, thank you for being there for my daughter and teaching her wonderful principles. Now please help me! I try to pay a little bit of attention when I hear Spanish but I need visuals! I can try to mimic the word but have no idea what I heard or what I'm saying. Please add subtitles to your show. Thank you. Sincerely, A unilingual mom.

Growing Kids

The whole point of my blog is to record all the little things I don't want to forget as my kids grow.  Or at least that was the idea a little while ago.  I'm failing, but that's okay, I'm trying too.  At least I'm getting the big ones I guess.  Well I figured I'd just write a couple of my favorite things about my kids tonight and the stages they are in.      Tate:  I didn't get it down before, but when he was about 3-4 months old, he would give me the best kisses ever!!  I would lay him down on the ground and start kissing the corner of his mouth.  As soon as he could feel that he would grab my face with both his hands and open his mouth as wide as he could and just go crazy searching for my mouth!  He would go all wide eyed too.  I miss that, even if it was a bit on the moist side.  Now, when he's nursing, he has to have his hand in my mouth.  It's the strangest thing.  He let's h...

Tov Mehyod

Dustin is done with the semester!!!! Hooray!!!! It was another difficult semester for him, and I'm sure there are more to come. Anyway, Dustin was in a Hebrew class of all things, and he's a good student, tries really hard to learn things and incorporates certain terminology into his daily language in order to better learn them. He can be such a goof when it comes to incorporating chemistry or anatomical terms into his speech. Well as you may have learned by now, Dustin gets a real kick out of teaching Baylee to say funny things or awesome things. He taught her how to say "Tov Mehyod", which means "very good". She says it every once in a while now, especially of Dustin says it first. This morning he did something and said "Tov Mehyod." Baylee said it too. Dustin told her to say, "todah", which means "thank you". She looked at us a little bit mischievously and said, "Tov Mehyod." The gleam in her eye told...
