Posts

It's been awhile.  Been a bit busy lately.  I wanted to start posting the funny little things Baylee says.  I got this from Dustin's cute cousin who I've never actually met.  She added me on facebook so I see her posts from time to time and she has a little girl about Baylee's age and she just says the funniest things!  And I realized I really need to keep track of these things because they are so easy to forget but also so fun seeing personalities come through.  So just now, we sat down at the table for lunch, all four of us.  Baylee decided she was done and left the table.  She grabbed her potty and brought it into the kitchen and looked inside.  She said, "No pee-pees."  Then she grabbed the actual little bowl out and brought it to me, "take a look.  No pee-pees."  Then did it to Dustin too.  I think she even held it out for Tate to see.       Oh and we had our baby....

Mental Picture

Through both pregnancies we've been blessed to be able to have Dustin at just about every doctor's appointment.  Baylee's also been with us for this pregnancy.  I think it's so sweet having her there!  There's a mental picture I take just about every time that I just never want to forget!  Each visit we get to hear the baby's heart beat.  We ask Baylee if she wants to hear baby brother and she says yeah.  As I lay on the table and watch Baylee sitting in Dustin's lap, I wait for her reaction.  As soon as she hears the heartbeat she cocks her head to the side to look back at Dustin, as if to confrim that that is baby brother she's hearing.  Wide eye and big grin on her face.  It's so cute!  I can't get enough of my sweet, little family!

Projects

Here are some of the projects I've completed in the last little while. Carseat cover for the baby.   The blanky I made for Jen       I also made Dustin a blanket.  Made some blankets for the baby.  A nursing cover apron jig.  Bunky board.  And my latest obsession, subway art!  I printed some off for Baylee's room just a few days ago.  It turned out really cute, I love it!  Too bad my printer messed the colors up just a little bit.  But I found a website http://www.tagxedo.com/  which is free and really easy subway art.  They basically do it for you.  You type in what words and things you want, choose the color scheme and shape and it just makes if for you!  Then you print.  While it's cute and easy, it's also not completely in control by me.  Apparently I like to be in control and have things done precisely the way I want.  So I downloaded gimp....

31 Weeks, 5 Days

I don't remember pregnancy being this stupid!  I figure I should put down a little bit how I'm feeling lately, then maybe I won't feel so bad if we decide to have another and I'm right on track with the previous pregnancy.  Baylee's just seemed so easy.  While I remember being uncomfortable, I don't remember it to this extent!  Although, I do have to say that being on bed rest has been wonderful.  I've never felt so productive in my life.  Seriously though.  It must be one of those want what you can't have.  Someone tells me I have to stay off my feet, and I'll prove them wrong apparently.  While I love sitting, eating and watching TV, I can only take so much of it!  Plus we are in dire need of some new TV series to get into.  We burned through Once Upon a Time.  Of course always up to date on Psych.  I even took up Modern Family!  But those are our only sitcoms, everything else we watch is re...

Gratitude

I don't know how to express how grateful I am sometimes.  Since moving to our new place, I've been soo happy!  It's been pretty quick and easy getting settled.  It also helps that I'm absolutely in love with the new space!  (Except for the enormous amount of dogs surrounding us who decide to bark all at the same time at 6 in the morning.  Every morning.)  But, one of the greatest blessings I've found thus far in this place is the new ward.  I fell in love the first week we went.  I'm supposed to stay home but I really wanted to meet the new ward and I'm so glad I did.  They were so kind and welcoming it just astounded me!  We've never quite been in a ward like this!  And it's so helpful to me because I have a very hard time reaching out to people, so I'm so extremely grateful when people reach out to me.  I'm apparently a little bit shy.  Weird.      Anyway we went the first tw...
